Frequently Asked Questions

Will Haughton Honey with CBD get me high?

No. By law CBD has to have less than 3% of the narcotic THC compound.

Will I fail a drug test while using CBD?

In a word, no. Only THCs show up in drug tests.

What ailments do people take the honey for?

A wide range, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Sleep disorders
  • Post-traumatic stress
  • Epileptic seizures
  • Arthritis, fibromyalgia and osteoporosis
  • Menopausal syptoms
  • The effects of Parkinson’s Disease
  • Coronary inflammation
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome

What does ‘full spectrum’ mean?

Full spectrum is hemp extract that preserves the naturally-occurring cannabinoids and terpenes in the hemp and cannabis plant, except for the illegal, narcotic THC compound. Full spectrum CBD is minimally refined, and is extracted from a single plant.

How much CBD-infused honey should I take?

American researchers suggest that, at most, 70mg of 40% CBD additive per day is ideal. Anything more has no additional benefit. We suggest starting with between two and two and a half teaspoons once a day, ideally taken in the evening about one hour before sleep.

Are there any side-effects?

We know of none. There have been reports of side-effects with synthetic CBD (fatigue, stomach upset, changes in weight and appetite). The CBD additive we infuse our honey with is organic and natural. You can see independent laboratory test results on our website under Certification.

Should I consult my GP?

There’s absolutely no reason not to. Some GPs will know about the benefits of CBD; some others may not.

Do I need to keep my honey in the fridge?

No. With the lid well sealed and away from direct sunlight the honey will keep for ages in your larder.
